Careers
Wellington Tertiary Open Day
The Careers Office are extending an invitation for Y13 students to participate in the Wellington Tertiary Open Day
This will be a great opportunity for students to have a look around some of the Wellington campuses, talk to tutors, learn more about the different programmes offered from level 4 cert to level 7 bachelors degree. There will be in-class demonstrations where they can interact with current students and there will also be presentations running every hour from 10am about what courses you study and discussions about future career paths.
Date: Friday August 31st Time: 9:00 am – 2:30pm Venue: Wellington Travel: Bus cost: free. If you wish to attend this event, please see Mr Maclean asap to register your interest

Careers Expo
We are excited to announce that we are combining our subject selection evening with a Careers Expo
You will have the opportunity to visit a large number of University, Polytechnic, Tertiary Providers and Industry Representatives (Poster - see your LAR teacher for details)
Our visitors will be on site from 6pm-8pm and you will be able to talk to them at any time during this period. (no appointment necessary)
WHERE: Naenae College Hall
WHEN: Tuesday 28th August 6pm - 8pm ( Open to family and friends)

If you would like to get some extra tutorials, exam support or help with your assessments, come to Pasifika Power Up on Wednesdays 5-7pm. Pasifika Power Up is open to all students, juniors and seniors.
Teachers and university student tutors are available to assist. You'll also get a free hot meal at the end of the evening. Meet in the Hall at 5pm for briefing and presentations. Any problems or questions, see Mr Tiria.

All students interested in doing some cross country running this year. Meet at the big gym at 7am sharp on Tuesday and Thursday mornings with Mr Clarke. Please see Mr Clarke in Rm22 if you have any questions! All abilities welcome! No experience necessary

Senior Formal Assembly
There will be an assembly for all students attending the senior formal tomorrow Wednesday. Attendance is compulsory.

Come along to the bake sale on Wednesday. There will be lots of yummy food for purchase including chocolate slices; cup cakes; cookies; ambrosia and more.....

Trade Academy
There is a presentation in the library TODAY..Tuesday 7th August for any Y11 students who wish to participate in the trades academy next year.
The Trades Academies are L2 courses in Construction, Engineering, Hospitality, Electrical, Creative etc that you will attend on Thursday/Friday at Weltec or Whitieria 
If you are interested, then inform your LAR teacher and come along
