Victoria University
This programme is for any Year 11 students with the goal of getting to university when they finish college. One day a week in LA time two staff come from Victoria University to Naenae College with the aim of teaching you skills that will help you achieve NCEA level1.This is open entry for Year 11 students but you must commit to attending every week. If you would like to find out more come to the Library on Wed 12/2 in LA time.
If you are interested in joining in with this programme in 2014 please come to the library next Monday 10/2 in LA time to enrol. The programme aims to give you extra academic skills and prepare you for any university in NZ. However you must be doing a course that leads to University Entrance - eg at least three achievement standard subjects at level 3 and preferably have completed NCEA level 2 or very nearly.

Breakfast Club
Will now open 5 days a week starting on Wednesday at 8am. Remember with the later start on Thursday it will open at 9am. All are welcome

Creative Performing Arts School
During the April school holidays 2014, the Creative Performing Arts School is offering a very exciting opportunity for young teen actors. With Toi Whakaari's Perry Piercy, Miranda Harcourt will lead an
intensive acting workshop for up to 30 aspiring young actors from around NZ, aged 12 to 15 yrs.

VOLLEYBALL - Senior trials are TODAY after school in the big gym
TOUCH - Junior Girls MONDAY & WEDNESDAY at lunchtime; Senior Girls are MONDAY after school; Junior Boys TUESDAY & THURSDAY at Lunchtime;
LAWN BOWLS - There is a meeting in the small gym at lunchtime on MONDAY for students wanting to play.
FUTSAL - Boys wanting to play Futsal are to meet TUESDAY, lunchtime in the big gym. Call backs after school.

Valentine's day 
Next Friday. On Monday there will be a valentine's box for all your love letters to be read out in the hall on the 14th February at lunchtime. Watch out for the posters for more information. Also this year you will be able to purchase chocolate roses to be delivered to your beloved valentines classes. Deadline for orders will be Wednesday 12th.

A brand new pair of school shoes and a pair of Nike shoes have been found outside the tech block.

Spirit of Adventure 
Currently has vacancies on the following 10 Day Voyages:

4 – 13 March Male & Female Auckland - Auckland
14 – 23 March Male & Female Auckland - Auckland
24 March – 2 April Male & Female Auckland - Auckland

Please let senior students know that these are available. To apply you need to be between 15 and 18 years old, physically, medically and mentally fit and comfortable in deep water.
We have funding available for those students that are eligible ($450 subsidy bringing the cost down to $1,350 or the $1710 grant bringing the cost down to $90) only available to NZ residents not international students.
