Any Year 9 or 10 students who want to participate in a fat mat splat lunch time competition on Tuesday, you will need to come and sign up for this today at lunch time in the PE office. You must sign up today and will need to be at the big gym on Tuesday during all of lunch time for this. 30 people max.

Year 13 Students university of Canterbury visit takes place in the hall, Tuesday 21st March in LAR time - 10:15-10:55 The topics for this presentation include:

An introduction to UC, including how we shape our graduates to change the world. Entry requirements across UC. A first look at the bachelor degrees available at UC. What the UC student lifestyle gives students. Information regarding tuition fees, funding and scholarships.  A look through accommodation options (where appropriate) and an outline of the application processes. Important dates and upcoming UC events to get more information

Week beginning Week 1, Term 2

This programme is offered to students who have the potential to go to tertiary education and have this as a goal. There are weekly sessions with a co-ordinator aiming to develop academic confidence and skills. Y11 students have open entry, however Y13 students must be taking a course that leads to university. This is a great opportunity for students to meet successful young people from a range of occupations within Russel McVeagh. It is a group mentoring system and the meetings are fun, social, relaxed and all involve eating together. The programme is open to Y12/13 students – About 24.
