Pasifika Power-Up Tutoring Pasifika Power-Up academic workshops and tutoring in the Library on Tuesday from 5-7pm. Meet in the Hall before each session. These workshops are available for students from all year levels. If you wish to get ahead in your last set of assessments, develop and strengthen your exam preparation skills, or need extra time to do homework with experienced teachers and uni mentors, come on through! See Mr Tiria for more details. Careers Geeves Scaffolding Career Opportunities The construction sector is growing rapidly and the scaffolding industry is no exception. We are experiencing strong growth at the moment and we want to encourage more young people into our industry and into our company. Scaffolding is a skilled trade with specific qualifications and plenty of room for career growth. There are great opportunities for young people to quickly learn a trade and have good earning potential. A lot of our guys have come in to the company with no experience but have progressed to become a leading hand scaffolder on $28 per hour and with a company vehicle in 2-3 years. It is a great job for young people – hands on, outdoors, with lots of variation – and you get to see something tangible constructed after a hard day’s work!
