Wellington Tertiary Open Day
The Careers Office are extending an invitation for Y13 students to participate in the Wellington Tertiary Open Day
This will be a great opportunity for students to have a look around some of the Wellington campuses, talk to tutors, learn more about the different programmes offered from level 4 cert to level 7 bachelors degree. There will be in-class demonstrations where they can interact with current students and there will also be presentations running every hour from 10am about what courses you study and discussions about future career paths.
Date: Friday August 23 August Time: 9:00 am – 2:30 pm Venue: Wellington Travel: Bus cost: free. If you wish to attend this event, please see Mr Maclean asap to register your interest

SHE Trust Scholarships 
Now open. The Scholarship offers grants to financially assist women. Application brochures and information available from Mr Maclean in the Careers Office

First Aid
We have spaces available for any Y13 students who wishes to complete a First Aid course. Course runs over 2 days - 29/30 August  See Mr Maclean to register your interest

Rugby League
All students female and male that would like to play rugby league please come to the small gym at Interval today. We would like a junior boys, senior boys and a girls team. It is nine aside. Tournament is later in the month.

Homework Club
A reminder about Homework Club in the library. This is the heavy lifting term when seniors need to be completing assessments, organising reassessments if relevant, and preparing for the important derived grade exams later in the term. Working, studying, revising, collaborating at Homework Club is an awesome way to help you perform at your best!

Year 9 Mathswell Competition
Students who participate in Year 9 Mathswell competition are to come to R19 at lunchtime today. Ask Mrs Kim if unsure.

If you are thinking about University next year, there are now guides available for students, parents and whanau in the Careers Office. See Mr Maclean
