Sport Notice
Cardinals Softball Club extends an invitation to players to register for the club. New and Existing players are welcome. Register at the sports office 
Beach Volleyball starts on the 14th of October. Saturdays 10-12pm for 2-aside OR Wednesdays 6-9pm 3-aside or 4-aside. It will be held at the new indoor facility in Lyall Bay.
Return winter sport uniforms including netball dresses; basketball tops and shorts; rugby shorts & socks and outstanding summer sport uniforms to the sports office this week

Writing Competition
Interested in creative writing? For information on a creative writing competition in any form you like and with no restrictions on word limit, see Mr Laing in room 12 at lunch time this week.

Student Leadership Applications
Prefect and Mentor leadership applications are now open. Collect your application form from the Student Centre. Remember your application MUST be returned by Friday 18 September.

BOT Student Representative
Remember that voting for the Board of Trustees Student Representative will be held during LAR on Friday 11 September. Nominees are:

Spanish & Latin American Film Festival
Hola a todos!

The Spanish and Latin American Film Festival is coming soon. It is a free event featuring films from many countries including Spain, Colombia, Peru, Chile and many more. 
Upper Hutt: Expressions Arts and Entertainment Centre from 3-8 September 
Wellington Central: Te Papa 26-27th September and 3-4 October.

Performing Arts - Lunchtimes
Reminder - there are several classes running in the Perf. ARts area at lunchtimes. Several groups of year 9 and 10 boys have been running along the passageway recently playing tag which has disrupted the teaching of these classes. It is also dangerous to musical equipment and disrespectful of other students using the area. Please respect the area and show Te Whanau Tahi by taking running games outside. Thank you.

Scholarship Applications
Many scholarships are due in 2 weeks - please make sure your referees have been asked and know the timeline.

Weltech Open Day
Weltec Petone has an Open day next Thursday. A FREE bus will leave Naenae College at interval and return during lunchtime. Weltec have courses in Hairdressing, Engineering Trades, Animal Care, Automotive, Building Trades - painting, plastering electrical, plumbing, tiling, bricklaying, Architectural Technology, Design, Film and TV, Computing etc Some courses are free.  Get a permission slip from the Careers Office.  Meet in the Assembly Hall at the start of interval in FULL school uniform.  This trip is ONLY for students who do not have externals.
