Maori Language Week
Some of you may be aware, this week (Monday 21st - Sunday 27th July) is Māori Language Week - Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori and in celebration of this, every day you will be given a new “Kōrero (or saying) of the Day” in your LAR class. This is so that students have an opportunity to win the amazing Maori language week prizes that are up for grabs - the top FIVE students throughout the school to demonstrate their willingness to use these sayings and/ or speak Māori will receive a prize for their efforts so BE ALERT!... you teachers will be watching! Give it go & keep it reo for Maori language week

Te Whanau Tahi Kapa Haka Dress Rehearsal
Tena tatou! In preparation for the National Secondary School’s Kapa Haka Competition that is being held in week 2 of this term in Gisborne, the Naenae College Kapa haka (Te Whanau Tahi) would like invite you all to their dress rehearsal being held in the Naenae College hall, this Wednesday 23rd July. Doors open at 6pm - gold coin entry - please be seated by 6.25pm. Te Whanau Tahi Tshirts will also be on sale - $20 for adult sizes & $15 for children’s size. Mauri ora!

Victoria University Course Planning 2015
All Year 13 students planning to attend Victoria University next year need to meet with staff from Victoria in the Library at LA time next Tues 29/7. They will help you choose your courses and show you how the application process works.It is very important that you attend.

Senior Choir
Kia ora, welcome back to Term Three. Senior Choir is starting again, it is time for new songs and new performances in and outside the school. Everyone is required this Thursday lunchtime to get started again. See you then!

Pulse Workshop's
There is an exciting 9 week workshop, completely free for Y9 and 10 students which will focus on music, movement and drama, and which will explore creative ideas from all kinds of traditions. If you are interested in these free workshops, see Mr Boyes or Mr Pegler for more information.

Victoria Outreach Programme
There are some changes for the Yr11 Victoria University Outreach programme this term. Ihaka's small Friday group will change to Wednesday and still meet in the Meeting Room by the Assembly Hall . This starts this Wednesday - 23/7 WEEK 1

Maibiz Credit's
These students need to do some corrections to their Maibiz booklet to achieve the credits. Come to the Careers Office to complete your work - the deadline is Friday 1 August - Week 2.

Massey Palmerston North Open Day 
Wednesday 6 August. They are providing a FREE bus. To get a seat booked you need to get an application form from the Careers Office and return it quickly. Students planning to study anything to do with Sport, Food Technology or Engineering should go and take a look
