The Duke of Edinburgh's Hillary Awards
Any student older than 14 years old who is interested in finding out more about the Hillary Awards please come along to Room 22 to see Mr Henderson at the start of lunch on Tuesdays. It's all about young people being the best that they can be. Engaging with The Duke of Edinburgh's Hillary Award does not mean you will be moulded and brainwashed into being just like everybody else...its all about you! You as an individual, discovering and building on your strengths, your interests and your personality to give you the ability to deal with everything life can throw at you. It won't make you taller......but you will hold your head up higher!

If you are interested in joining in with this programme in 2014 please come to the library next Monday 10/2 in LA time to enrol. The programme aims to give you extra academic skills and prepare you for any university in NZ. However you must be doing a course that leads to University Entrance - eg at least three achievement standard subjects at level 3 and preferably have completed NCEA level 2 or very nearly.
