Winter Sport Fees were due on the 20th of May. Any outstanding sport fees need to be paid ASAP either at the sports office or the student centre. If you are interested in Tai Chi then register at the sports office.

Squash

Squash is the best sport in the world. If you want to be the coolest person you can be, then you simply must get yourself down to Mitchell Park on Tuesday at 3.30pm to play some SQUASH! Tuesday. 3.30pm. Mitchell Park. Be there

Senior Girl's Basketball
Your deferred game vs HVHS will be played this Wednesday at HVHS. Please meet Don there at 6.00pm. Please see Ms.Shaw before Wednesday if you cannot play.

Fitness Studio
The Fitness Studio will closed after 3pm this week due to lack of care of the equipment. Students who wish to use the facility may do so during lunchtime only - conditions apply. See Mrs Manuel.

Protein Bars
Protein Bars come in 5 yummy flavours. With 38% more protein and 38% less sugar than a regular chocolate bar, these are guaranteed to satisfy and are better for you! The bars are $2.00 each and will be on sale from next week.

Whanau Competition
Quizz competition will be held in the library on Tuesday for Juniors and Thursday for Seniors. Thanks Shaun

Writing Competition
Katherine Mansfield House and Garden is offering a year 12 or 13 student the opportunity to win $500 to go towards further education/courses. All they need to do is submit an original piece of creative writing approximately 1500 words long.
See Mr Laing in room 12 at interval Tuesday or Wednesday for more information.

Digital Camera
The Food Tech. Canon digital camera went missing from Room 29 late last week. It is urgently required for assessment of student work. If you have any information about where it is please inform Mrs Coup or your LAR teacher or Whanau Head.

Glasses
A pair of glasses was left in computer room AT7 this morning, if you are the owner please claim from front office reception.

40 Hour Famine
Well done, to everyone who participated in the 40 Hour Famine over the weekend. You should all be proud of yourselves, you've done an amazing service. Now comes the easy bit, start collecting your famine sponsorship money and give your booklet and money to your LAR teacher or drop it off at the student centre. Let's get all money and booklets in by the end of next week.

Careers
Defence Forces Experience Day
The Army, Navy and Airforce are combining and running 2 experience days in Trentham in the next school holidays. You need to be 16 to attend. If you are interested in joining any of the armed forces you need to attend one of these courses while you are still at school. See Ms Burton in the Careers Office to apply.

Russell McVeagh Mentoring
Our next meeting in Wellington has had a date change - it is now Tuesday 28 June - Not Wednesday 29 June. Ms Burton will have room for 3 students in her car. Please let her know if you can't attend

Otago Law Event
Year 12 and 13 students who may be interested in studying law at Otago or another NZ university are invited to attend this talk about law degrees and career opportunities in Wellington from 1 - 3pm on Wed 29 June. Prof Mark Hennessy is a great speaker. See Ms Burton in the Careers Office for more information

Big Construction Tour
The BCITO has organised a Big Construction Tour around Wellington construction and building industry worksites to see the industry in action on Thursday 7 July. If you would like to take part in one of the few places we have allocated to our school come to the Careers Office. You will spend the whole day visiting industry sites and lunch will be provided.
