Board of Trustees - Student Representative
Nominations for a BOT Student Representative are now open and nominations are invited for the election of one student representative to the board of trustees. 

Nominations forms can be obtained from the Student Centre or the Principal's Assistant. Nominations will close on Thursday 4 March 2016 at 12 noon and should be accompanied by a candidate's statement. Voting day will be Friday 18 March 2016.

Sport Notice
Senior Boys Cricket are to attend a meeting in the small gym at morning tea today.
The weekly sports draw can be found at the Sports Office; on Facebook under Naenae College Sport; School Website and College Sport Wellington

Writing & Reading Club
Any juniors interested in writing (including competitions) and/or reading, come to room 12 at lunch time on Wednesday.

Homework Centre
We'll be starting home work centre up again soon. If you are in Year 12 or 13 interested in becoming a home work centre mentor and can commit to at least one day a fortnight helping out Wednesday and Thursday in the library from 3.30 to 5, come to 6A WEDNESDAY 17 February at interval.

Victoria University Outreach
Victoria Outreach is a special programme for Yr11 students who want to achieve well with NCEA and maybe go to university. Two teachers from the university - Fa'afoi and Carina - come to school one LARtime a week and teach you special techniques to help you be more successful. Outreach is open to any Yr11 students but you must commit to attending for the year and take it seriously. The first meeting to meet Fa'afoi and Carina will be next Tues 23/2 in the library at LAR time - come along and find out about outreach and decide whether you would like to join up.

Juniors starts on Tuesday next week and Wednesday for Seniors. Be sure to bring your friends and support your whanau. This will be held in the big gym at lunchtimes. See you all there

Get Involved in Performing Arts
Have we got a deal for you! Put your name on the sign up sheets on the wall outside the music office if you would like to learn an instrument or try out a performance group. Thank you to students who have already done this. Temporary timetables are up for GUITAR/Bass WOODWIND, Flute, Clarinet, Sax and KEYBOARD/PIANO. Please check.

School Athletics
LARS - Please read EVERYDAY of this week. I don't want any keen athletes missing out. Thanks.
Are you the next Usain Bolt? The next Valerie Adams? :) .......or even the next Eddie the Eagle (....teachers may have to explain that one ;) ....he was a hope less aerial skier that went to the winter Olympics :) Whatever it takes!
Registrations for ALL YEARS 11-13 students wishing to take part in our school athletic events will take place ALL OF THIS WEEK, at LUNCHTIMES and AFTER SCHOOL in the BIG GYM. If you do not register this week, you will not be allowed to compete in the events that will start NEXT WEEK. These events will be run either; BEFORE SCHOOL, LUNCHTIME or AFTER-SCHOOL. A timetable of events will come out on WEDNESDAY.
ALL JUNIOR students wishing to take part, your registrations will take place in your PE classes. Students will compete in their specific AGE GRADES.
PS. The HV inter-school meet is in Week 5 and the Wellington regional meet, Week 6.
