Homework Club
The Library is open 3.20-5.00 every day except Friday for students to study, finish assignments, read, or get tutoring or help from senior students and/or teachers. A great opportunity to fill in those gaps of knowledge, complete unfinished work, or simply just get a bit of quiet time to read, review, reflect and revise! It's open to any level, 9 to 13. There's a form available if you need to show your parents what it's about and/or get formal permission. Just pick it up from the library any time. Mid-year reports are coming up, and so are assessments and exams, so come to Homework Centre and improve your chances of success!

Netball 
Practice ALL teams after school today 3:15pm to 4:30pm. NN1 and NN2 in the big gym and all other teams in the inner quad.

Have A Go At Knitting
Want to learn something new, come and have a go at knitting, if you can knit come and help other students.
Bring your own wool and needles, if not we will have some here for you. 
We will be making a Peggy square blanket. It will be Thursday and Friday lunchtimes next week, come and be part of it.

Should the Library have a Book Club?
If you think a book club would be something you might be interested in come and meet with Mrs Y Wednesday lunchtime and let her know what you think.

Poly Club 
Practice in the hall 4:30-6:30 pm Mon and Tue. Final lists for girls performing for our school's Poly Club has already been drawn. See Mr Tiria or Ms Taeao for final lists.
We are still open to boys joining. Please see Poly Club teachers if you wish to join.
Senior student members - the markbooks for Poly Club dance and music assessments will be set up based on who are on the lists. You must work on your attendance to Poly Club as this is part of assessment.

Jobs, Robots & Us: Why the Future of Work in New Zealand is in Our Hands. Visit/Presentation – Wednesday 22nd May
Could millions of jobs soon be eliminated by artificial intelligence and robots? From driverless cars to digital assistants, it seems the world of work is on the cusp of a technological revolution. But are the robots really knocking at the door? And what does all this mean for New Zealanders?
Kinley Salmon is one of the sharpest young minds looking at our future. An economist and writer (The John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, The Economist), he is currently working in Washington.  His new book, Jobs, Robots & Us, explores the future of work in New Zealand, and publishes 10 May through Bridget Williams Books.
Presentation will take place in the Library at LAR time (10:15 – 10:55)

Maibiz Business Challenge
Taking place on Thurs/Fri - 30/31st May
This is a 2 day program where students can expect to learn the building blocks of successful business, including:
Gain an insight into business leadership, work in teams, learn how a successful business works, present professionally and effectively, have FUN! learning in an unique way.
Everyone who spends the entire 2 days on the program will receive.....A certificate of participation, 3 x L2 Credits, and each member of the winning team will receive a gold medal

Environment Group
Unfortunately our wānanga last Monday was cancelled due to a tangi. It has been postponed to Week 5 Thurs 30th May 3:30 pm in Room 21. See you there!

Proactive Physiotherapy
Provides support for sport related injuries. Appointments are made at the student centre. This is a free service offered to students and staff. Proactive will be on-site every Thursday from 11:30am to 1pm starting this week.

All Samoan Students
It is Samoan Language week next week (May 27th). Please wear full Samoan attire on Monday 27 and Friday 31 May only, and wear school uniform on Tuesday - Thursday of the same week.

Australian Maths Competition
Entries are open for the Australian Maths Competition. Please see your Maths teacher or Mr. Vickers to register your interest. This competition is open to all years 9-13.
