Waka ama - A coach is now confirmed for the school Wakaama team. Register at the sports office If you are interested 
Junior Girls Volleyball Trials are being held on TODAY from 3:30pm to 5pm.
Wellington Touch Trials for U13 to U17 grades are being held on Sunday September 13th from 1pm to 7pm at Fraser Park
Cardinals Softball Club invites new and existing members to register on Sunday 13th September 1:30pm at Fraser Park 3. Bring your glove & bat
Return winter sport uniforms including netball dresses; basketball tops and shorts; and any outstanding summer sport uniforms to the sports office this week

Drama Production Tech Meeting
We are doing a senior production next week with my Drama students but am in need of some help. If there is anyone that is interested in helping out with the running of the show then please come to M14 at the start of lunchtime today and listen to me talk!!!! I hope to see you all there. Cheers.

Re Sub ENG101 Connections
Come to room 16 at lunch time to resub your connections assessments with Ms Henderson.

English Revision
Ms Henderson will be in the library today from 3:30 to help you with revision for your English mock exams next week. 
Aimed at year 11, but open to any level. 
Come along and make some study resources.

Mr Tiria's English 102 Class Catchups
The following students need to come to the lunch time catch ups for 1.7 missed assessments:

Badminton 
 Juniors starts on Tuesday next week and Wednesday for Seniors. Be sure to bring your friends and support your whanau. This will be held in the big gym at lunchtimes. See you all there

Student Leadership Applications
Prefect and Mentor leadership applications are now open. Collect your application form from the Student Centre. Remember your application MUST be returned by Friday 18 September.

Performing Arts Lunchtime
Reminder - there are several classes running in the Perf. ARts area at lunchtimes. Several groups of year 9 and 10 boys have been running along the passageway recently playing tag which has disrupted the teaching of these classes. It is also dangerous to musical equipment and disrespectful of other students using the area. Please respect the area and show Te Whanau Tahi by taking running games outside. Thank you.

Pasifika Powerup Power stations
Warm Pacific Greetings! The Power stations will be beginning next Monday, 14 September and will run for eight weeks. They will be held in the hall from 5pm to 7:30pm. The first four weeks are for both parents and students and then students only for the remainder of the sessions. Teachers will be available to help students with their learning and completing NCEA for the year.

Futsal Whanau Competition
There will be a Futsal Whanau Competition at lunchtime in the big gym on Wednesday 9 September for Juniors and Thursday 10 September for Seniors. Make your own team of five with members from your House as it will be 5-aside. No signups needed, just show up with your team and a team name. If you have any questions please talk to Olly or Shanelle.

Weltec Petone Open Day 
Next Thursday. A FREE bus will leave Naenae College at interval and return during lunchtime. Weltec has courses in Hairdressing, Engineering Trades, Animal care, Automotive, Building Trades - painting, plastering electrical, plumbing, tiling, bricklaying, Architectural technology, Design, Film and TV, Computing etc Some courses are free . Get a permission slip from the Careers Office. Meet in the Assembly Hall at the start of interval in Full school uniform. This trip is ONLY for students who do not have externals. Year 12 students planning not to return next year can see Ms Burton if they would like to attend.

Army/Navy/Air Force Experience Days
The Defence Force are running two experience days at Trentham Army Camp in the holidays. If you are in Yr12 or 13 and would like to find out more about joining the Army, Navy or Airforce come and see Ms Burton in the Careers Office soon.

Scholarship Applicatons
Many scholarships are due in 2 weeks - please make sure your referees have been asked and know the timeline.

Hutt Mana Energy Scholarship
If your university study is going to involve engineering, architecture, building design or you are interested in energy matters such as conservation/ efficiency, you may like to put your name forward for this $1000 scholarship. See Ms Burton in the Careers Office
