COURSE DESCRIPTION

Digital technologies impact many aspects of our everyday lives. We use it to do our work, to communicate and for entertainment. We also use it to create new “stuff” for others to use. In this course, students will design, create and evaluate digital outcomes. These include animation and web pages (Digital Media), text documents, spreadsheets and databases (Digital Information) and interactive games (Programming). This course will also cover basic concepts of digital technologies. This Applications used include Word, Excel, Access, Fireworks CS6, Notepad++ and Scratch.

These include animation and web pages (Digital Media), database and spreadsheets (Digital Information) and interactive games (Programming). This course will also cover advanced concepts of digital technologies. Applications used include Excel, Access, Animate CC, ActionScript and Notepad++.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

Students consolidate their learning and use complex techniques to design, create and evaluate digital outcomes. Students may choose to specialise in two of the three learning areas and are encourage to do cross subjects projects where appropriate. The learning areas are Digital Media (animation / responsive web pages), Digital Information (relational databases) and Programming (interactive game). This course will also cover complex concepts of digital technologies. Applications used include Excel, Access, Publisher, Animate CC, ActionScript and Notepad++.
