Assessment Reporting

Kia ora e te whānau

Last year we started transitioning to live reporting rather than the traditional booklet style reports. This means that as students complete assessments and their grades are entered on KAMAR, the teachers are writing assessment comments which they publish for whānau to engage with. Live reporting means that the communication between home and school can be more meaningful and current.

Assessment grades and comments from all subjects are now live for you to view on SchoolBridge or the Parent Portal. If students have not yet fully completed an assessment, then teachers have written progress comments. These comments will help you base some of your conversations with subject teachers in the upcoming Parent Teacher Interviews on Wednesday 19 June. Going forward, we recommend that whānau check on SchoolBridge once a month for any updates of grades and comments. This is especially important for whānau who have students working on NCEA.

To access these assessment grades and comments you go onto your SchoolBridge app, click on the KAMAR  portal button, then in the menu click on results, and current year results.  This will show you all assessment results and comments for 2024.

SchoolBridge is our preferred method of communication with whānau and we would like all students and whānau to have this app on their phones. Absences, notices, and emergency alerts are done through this app as are parent teacher interview bookings, and very shortly EOTC forms for school trips.

The email log in for SchoolBridge is based around whānau email addresses on KAMAR, so if you have recently changed your email or we do not have it, please contact the office and we can update these details for you.

If you wish to use the parent portal to read the assessment results and comments, then go to the Naenae College website www.naenae-college.school.nz, click on ‘Parent Portal’ and use your login details to access them. Students are also able to view these assessment results and comments under their student login details.

Attached is information on how to download the SchoolBridge app if you have not already. You can also log into SchoolBridge on your computer for easier reading.
